About Us
Our Growth
When Phil McCoy initially opened a local construction equipment company in 1985, he was determined to provide top quality equipment and exceptional service to his Kansas City area customers. Over 24 years later, McCoy still serves as President of RoadBuilders Machinery & Supply Co., Inc. and we continue to offer the finest equipment in the industry, paired with outstanding parts and service availability.
RoadBuilders became an exclusive Komatsu dealer in 1989, and two years later we moved into our current headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1992, we expanded into the industrial machining and engine rebuild business and currently operate separate rental and used equipment facilities to satisfy our customers’ needs. With the acquisition of Fehr’s Tractor in 2000, RoadBuilders added three new locations—Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island, Nebraska. In mid 2008 RoadBuilders expanded into the Springfield, Missouri area by opening Midwest Equipment.
In the past three decades we have increased our company’s size substantially, but we’ve always held fast to Phil McCoy’s original vision of excellence in parts, service and equipment.
