Company Background
When Phil McCoy purchased a local construction equipment company in 1985, he was determined to provide top quality equipment and exceptional service to his Kansas City customers. Over 20 years later, McCoy still serves as President of RoadBuilders Machinery and Supply Co., and we continue to offer the finest equipment in the industry, paired with outstanding service.

In the past three decades we have increased our company’s size substantially, but we’ve always held fast to Phil McCoy’s original vision of excellence in service and equipment.

After initially focusing on construction equipment, RoadBuilders has broadened its available equipment lines to include equipment for aggregate processing, concrete paving, and scrap handling. At all five locations, we feature: construction, mining and earthmoving equipment from Komatsu; landscape and erosion control equipment from FINN; aggregate processing equipment from Masaba and Metso; material handling equipment from Terex Fuchs and Sennebogen; paving equipment from Blaw-Knox and Gomaco; compaction equipment from Bomag; trailers from Landoll and Holden; and all types of attachments from Entek, ESCO, JRB, Genesis, Jewell and NPK.

Every branch of RoadBuilders Machinery and Supply Co. offers new, used and rental equipment. We assure excellent service support with our extensive parts inventory, highly trained service personnel and on-site maintenance to eliminate travel and minimize downtime. Preventive maintenance contracts are offered to help avoid unexpected repairs, and several financing options are always available. We can even assume responsibility for maintaining your equipment with our fleet management services.

RoadBuilders became an exclusive Komatsu dealer in 1991 and the same year, we moved into our current headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas. Four years later, we purchased a rental fleet and began offering maintenance services at all locations. With the acquisition of Fehr’s Tractor in 2000, RoadBuilders added three new locations—Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island, Nebraska. Five years later, we added used equipment and remanufacturing facilities in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Kansas City, Kansas.
