When Phil McCoy initially opened a local construction equipment company in 1985, he was determined to provide top-quality equipment and exceptional service to his Kansas City area customers. We still continue to offer the finest equipment in the industry, paired with outstanding parts and service availability.

RoadBuilders became an exclusive Komatsu dealer in 1989, and two years later moved into our current headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas.  With the acquisition of Fehr's Tractor in 2000, RoadBuilders added three new locations - Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island, Nebraska. In mid-2008 we expanded into the Springfield, Missouri area by opening Midwest Equipment & Supply, LLC., where we offer the finest used equipment, rental, service, and parts around. 

In 2017 we expanded into our newest location in Norfolk, NE, which now brings our locations in Nebraska to 4.  Thus, bringing all of our services to the entire state of Nebraska. 

Sadly, in December 2018 we lost Phil to a very long, and hard-fought battle with cancer.  His son, Bryan took on the reins of heading the company.  He brings his own visions, as well as, upholding the values and excellence that his father showed, and brought to the table when bringing his vision to life.

In the past three decades we have increased our company's size substantially, but we've always held fast to Phil McCoy's original vision of excellence in parts, service and equipment.

At the beginning, construction equipment was our sole market. RoadBuilders has since broadened its available equipment lines to include equipment for aggregate processing, concrete paving, and scrap handling. Today we feature: construction, earthmoving, and mining equipment from Komatsu; compact earthmoving equipment from Takeuchi; landscape and erosion control equipment from FINN; aggregate processing equipment from Metso; material handling equipment from Terex-Fuchs; paving equipment from Gomaco; compaction equipment from Bomag; trailers from Etnyre; and all types of attachments from NPK, ESCO, JRB, Labounty, and Werk-Brau.

Every branch of RoadBuilders Machinery & Supply offers new, used and rental equipment. We assure excellent customer support with our extensive parts inventory, highly trained service personnel, and jobsite maintenance to eliminate travel and minimize downtime. We now offer jobsite service based out of Norfolk, NE. Preventative maintenance contracts are offered to help avoid unexpected repair costs, and we also offer fleet management services for maintaining your equipment.
